Grown in the Gayo Highlands in Northern Sumatra. Full, clean bodied coffee, with rich cocoa notes, layered with a nice sweetness from almond and blackberry. Uniform and balanced with a smooth, velvety finish. Great on French Press, drip, or pour over!

This coffee also derives from a cooperative project that seeks to cultivate along strict Orang Utan guidelines to safeguard the survival of the Sumatran Orang Utan that is vulnerable to extinction.

Today, only 20% of the original Indonesian lowland rainforest habitat of the orangutans is left. Our aim is to protect the orangutan population by preserving the remaining rainforest and securing the livelihood of a growing community of smallholder farmers in the Gayo Highland.
A premium of 50 cents per kg of exported green beans goes to the farmer for complying with organic and nature conservation standards
